FAQs
Questions are part of good care.
Here are clear answers to the questions people often ask before joining Weatherly.
What is direct primary care?+
Direct primary care is a membership model where you pay your primary care provider directly for comprehensive primary care. Weatherly does not bill insurance for office care, which creates more room for accessible, personal care.
Is this concierge medicine?+
No. Concierge practices often charge a membership fee and still bill insurance for visits. At Weatherly, your monthly membership includes your office visits and access to Sarah, without copays or hidden additional bills from the practice.
Why keep insurance if I join?+
Insurance still matters for care outside the practice, including specialists, emergencies, hospital care, imaging, many labs, and prescriptions. Weatherly does not bill insurance directly for your primary care visits.
Can I join if I am generally healthy?+
Yes. A direct relationship with your provider supports prevention, wellness, and timely answers before a small concern becomes a larger one.
Do HMO and PPO plans work differently?+
They can. Weatherly is not an in-network HMO primary care provider. PPO plans generally offer more flexibility to choose your primary care and specialty providers. Contact Weatherly if you would like to talk through your situation.
Does Sarah manage long-term opioid prescriptions?+
Sarah does not take over long-term opioid prescriptions. When appropriate, she will refer patients to the right specialist for safe management.
